About the Role
Our client, a significant entity in the Scottish telecommunications landscape, is seeking an accomplished Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee key network infrastructure projects in Glasgow . This role requires a strategic leader adept at managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, fostering collaboration between technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple telecom infrastructure projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal engineering teams, field operations, suppliers, and external contractors.
- Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Report project status, progress, and key metrics to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Proven track record (5+ years) in project management within the telecommunications industry .
- Strong understanding of network technologies, fiber optics, and infrastructure deployment projects.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and methodologies.
- Ability to manage complex budgets and resource constraints effectively.
