About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Telecoms Project Manager to lead complex projects within the telecommunications sector, based in Glasgow . You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical understanding of telecom infrastructure and strong leadership capabilities. You will manage project teams, stakeholders, and resources effectively, driving project success in a dynamic and evolving industry. This position offers a hybrid working model, balancing collaborative office time with the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of telecommunications projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Manage project teams, assign tasks, and provide guidance and motivation to ensure project objectives are met.
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the telecommunications industry or a related technology field.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and complexities.
- Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure , network deployment, and technology trends.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
