About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Construction Project Manager to lead significant building projects in and around Southampton . This role is hands-on, requiring you to manage all aspects of construction projects from planning and design through to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical role for an experienced construction professional aiming to make a tangible impact on major developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Manage project budgets, authorise expenditures, and track costs against financial plans.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, coordinating all trades and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
Requirements
- Significant experience (7+ years) as a Construction Project Manager .
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Excellent understanding of contract negotiation and management.
- Proficiency in construction management software.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.
