About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in managing infrastructure projects to join their team in Plymouth, Devon . This role is vital for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of critical infrastructure development and upgrade projects. You will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure project success in line with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in managing complex infrastructure initiatives within the South West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of complex infrastructure projects, from initiation to closeout.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost tracking and financial control.
- Oversee project teams, including internal staff and external contractors, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with a significant focus on infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects in or around Plymouth .
- Strong understanding of infrastructure development lifecycles, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant project management software and tools.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
