About the Role
Our client seeks a dedicated and proactive Project Manager to join their growing team, focusing on Construction & Development projects in the scenic city of Plymouth . This role is crucial for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of new builds and refurbishment projects. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards of quality and safety. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the built environment in Devon .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction and development projects, from initial feasibility studies and design through to construction and final handover in Plymouth .
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring financial and timeline targets are met.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing effective solutions to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing comprehensive reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within the construction and property development sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing a variety of construction projects, including residential and commercial developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
