About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Engineering projects to join their team in Derby, Derbyshire . This role will involve managing the lifecycle of various engineering projects, from initial concept and design through to implementation and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, designers, and manufacturing to ensure project requirements are met.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Experience managing technical projects in the Derby area or similar manufacturing hubs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software knowledge is a plus.
- Relevant degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
