About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a specialization in IT Infrastructure to join their technology team in Sheffield . This role is responsible for managing projects related to network upgrades, server deployments, cloud migrations, and other critical infrastructure enhancements. You will work closely with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and minimal disruption to services. This is a vital position for ensuring the robustness and scalability of the company's technological backbone.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, resource requirements, and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers for project execution.
- Ensure projects adhere to IT security policies, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and post-project reviews.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects (e.g., network, servers, cloud, data centers).
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and concepts.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Relevant certifications like PMP, ITIL, or CompTIA Project+ are a plus.
