About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Project Manager to drive operational efficiency and improvement projects in Sheffield . This role is crucial for implementing new processes, optimising existing workflows, and ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations. You will work closely with department heads and operational teams to deliver projects that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. This is an office-based position requiring strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to project execution within a dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor operational projects aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop project charters, scope documents, timelines, and budgets for operational initiatives.
- Lead project teams, including members from various operational departments, ensuring clear communication and task completion.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and areas for improvement, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
- Ensure that all project deliverables are met and that improvements are sustained post-implementation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , with a strong focus on operational improvement or process optimisation.
- Proven ability to manage projects within an operational or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of operational principles and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, accustomed to working in a collaborative office setting.
- A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
