About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in the Portsmouth area. This critical role involves managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to execution and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating a wide range of contractors and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, control, and financial reporting for Portsmouth sites.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members effectively.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in contract management and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in construction management software and standard office applications.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional chartership is a plus.
