About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in the construction sector to oversee significant building projects in and around Leeds . This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic planning to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage project teams, liaise with contractors and clients, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance. The successful candidate will thrive in a hybrid work model, balancing site visits with office-based planning and reporting, contributing to the successful delivery of high-profile construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Lead and motivate construction teams, subcontractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
- Mitigate project risks and resolve issues promptly to minimise delays and cost overruns.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management , with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and relevant UK building regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing diverse project teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model , with regular site presence and office-based responsibilities.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CIOB) is advantageous.
