About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in software development to join their innovative team in Bradford . This role is critical for guiding complex software projects from concept through to successful deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. You will lead a talented team of developers, testers, and designers, fostering a collaborative and agile environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage the entire software development lifecycle, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software development projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and business objectives.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, adapting to changing requirements and priorities in Bradford .
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including developers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and product owners, in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring efficient team workflow and continuous improvement.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing proactive mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and potential impediments to stakeholders and senior management on a regular basis.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with at least 5 years focused specifically on software development projects.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience managing projects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
- Experience with client-facing roles and managing external partnerships is a plus for this role in West Yorkshire .
