About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects for their operations in Oxford . This role is vital for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects that support and enhance the company's physical and digital infrastructure. You will manage project teams, coordinate with various departments and external contractors, and ensure all projects adhere to stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position operates under a hybrid model, offering a mix of on-site work in Oxford and remote flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of complex infrastructure projects , from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, WBS, resource allocation, risk management, and scheduling.
- Manage and motivate project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external contractors, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies throughout project lifecycles.
- Oversee project budgets, manage expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to senior management and key stakeholders in Oxford .
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management , with a significant focus on infrastructure development or management.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle management, including planning, design, construction, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, adapted for a hybrid role .
- Experience managing project budgets exceeding £5 million and leading diverse project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP or relevant professional certification is essential.
