About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee significant construction projects in the Aberdeen area. You will be instrumental in leading project teams from inception through to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex construction initiatives and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and the ability to navigate the challenges inherent in large-scale developments, contributing directly to the company's success and reputation in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans , schedules, and budgets for multiple concurrent construction projects.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including site engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee all phases of the construction lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and handover.
- Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols on all construction sites.
- Manage client relationships, providing regular progress updates and addressing any concerns proactively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in construction project management , with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to manage budgets exceeding £10 million.
- Strong understanding of building regulations , planning policies, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or similar.
