About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic Senior Project Manager to drive significant business transformation initiatives in Derby . This role is essential for leading complex, cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, adopting new technologies, and enhancing customer experiences. You will work closely with department heads, IT teams, and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery and organizational change. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a proven ability to manage large-scale change programs, adept at navigating organizational complexities and delivering tangible business improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of key business transformation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, establish clear objectives, and manage timelines and budgets.
- Facilitate collaboration among diverse teams, including IT, operations, finance, and HR, to achieve project goals.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project progress, key milestones, and outcomes to senior management and all relevant stakeholders through clear and concise reporting.
- Drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in project management , with at least 5 years focused on business transformation or large-scale change initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in leading projects involving process re-engineering, technology adoption, or organizational restructuring.
- Strong understanding of business analysis, change management principles, and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience managing project budgets exceeding £4 million.
