About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Remote Civil Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil engineering projects from anywhere in the UK, with a focus on operations supporting the Cambridge region. This position is crucial for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects, managing all aspects of project delivery, including budget, schedule, and quality control. You will leverage advanced communication and project management tools to coordinate effectively with distributed teams, clients, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil engineering projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of remote engineering teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record (10+ years) as a Project Manager successfully delivering complex civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2).
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Primavera).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at remote collaboration and reporting.
