About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Aerospace Project Manager to oversee critical projects within their advanced aerospace division in Cambridge . This hybrid role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and exceptional execution skills to guide projects from conception through to completion. You will manage timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications, ensuring projects meet technical specifications and business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of aerospace development cycles and excels in managing complex, cross-functional teams, leveraging both on-site collaboration and remote coordination tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and managing expectations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with aerospace regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the aerospace or defence industry.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
