About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects within the utilities sector in and around Cambridge . This role requires managing projects related to energy, water, or telecommunications networks, ensuring timely and efficient completion. You will liaise with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to guarantee project success. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of utility operations and project management principles, thriving in a hybrid work environment that balances site visits with office-based planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and closure of utility infrastructure projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal engineering departments, external contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager , ideally within the utilities sector .
- Strong understanding of infrastructure project lifecycles and relevant regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project requirements.
- Experience working in a hybrid model, requiring both office presence and site accessibility.
