About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Edinburgh . This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site supervision and office-based planning and coordination. You will be responsible for the complete management of construction projects, from initial planning and procurement through to site execution, quality control, and final handover. This is a crucial position that demands strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the construction industry, fostering collaboration between site teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed construction project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all site operations, ensuring safety regulations and quality standards are met.
- Procure and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with teams and stakeholders.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively to minimize disruptions and cost overruns.
- Ensure timely completion of projects and client satisfaction upon handover.
Requirements
- Substantial experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry .
- Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects concurrently.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
