About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in technology projects to join their team in Glasgow . This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing complex IT initiatives, including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and digital transformation projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology-focused projects.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Lead and motivate project teams comprised of engineers, developers, and other technical specialists.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party service providers.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security standards, and best practices throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on IT and technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing software development lifecycles (SDLC) and infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, or other relevant project management methodologies.
- Strong technical background or a deep understanding of technology concepts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
