About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join their fully remote team, contributing to initiatives impacting their operations across the UK, with a focus on their Glasgow -based operations, though the role is entirely remote. This position requires a strategic leader capable of managing complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives and stakeholder satisfaction. You will be instrumental in driving project success through effective planning, execution, and communication, working within a culture that champions remote collaboration and individual autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of strategic projects in a remote setting.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within financial parameters.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among distributed team members and stakeholders through virtual channels.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing proactive solutions.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and quality standards across all assigned projects.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong track record of leading complex initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing projects in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools essential for remote work.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills, adapted for virtual interactions.
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; PMP or Prince2 certification is highly advantageous.
