About the Role
Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee major construction projects in Glasgow . This demanding role requires a leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction initiatives from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to strict timelines, budgets, and safety standards. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including site management, contractor liaison, and quality control, playing a vital part in delivering landmark developments within the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to final handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Appoint and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring performance and quality.
- Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols on all construction sites.
- Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to ensure projects are on track and meet quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in construction project management, preferably with large commercial or residential developments.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, regulations, and building codes.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional qualifications are advantageous.
