About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical initiatives within their supply chain operations in Wolverhampton . This role involves overseeing projects focused on enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and implementing innovative solutions across the entire supply chain network. You will play a key part in optimising logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships, working collaboratively with diverse teams to drive impactful changes that support the company's growth objectives in a complex global market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of supply chain projects, from initial scope definition to final implementation and review.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and resource requirements for supply chain optimisation initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, warehousing, and IT, to achieve project goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains within the supply chain.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of supply chain technologies and systems.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring service level agreements are met.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a substantial focus on supply chain management , logistics, or operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain projects.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and supply chain management tools.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
