About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Manager with a strong background in IT projects to join their team in Manchester . You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of critical technology initiatives, ensuring they meet business requirements, technical specifications, and project constraints. This role demands a blend of technical understanding and exceptional project leadership to navigate complex IT landscapes, drive successful outcomes, and support the company's digital transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders, including developers, architects, and system administrators, to define project scope and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets for IT initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies specific to technology implementations.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Facilitate effective communication and status reporting to all levels of the organization regarding IT project progress.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects, including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles (SDLC), and cybersecurity principles .
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experience adapting them to IT project needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- A relevant IT or project management degree and PMP or similar certification are preferred.
