About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager specializing in IT Infrastructure to join their dynamic team in Manchester . This pivotal role will involve leading complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration and upgrades of critical systems. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from initial scoping and planning through to implementation and successful handover. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding combined with exceptional project management acumen, driving initiatives that enhance the company's technological backbone and support future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud deployments.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Manage cross-functional teams of IT professionals, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring business continuity and minimizing operational disruption.
- Oversee vendor selection and management, ensuring contractual obligations are met and service levels are maintained.
- Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, server management, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL certification is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
