About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and experienced Blockchain Project Manager to lead key initiatives within their technology department, operating on a hybrid schedule from their Sheffield office. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing blockchain projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and deliverables, overseeing all aspects of the project from inception to completion, ensuring successful outcomes in the fast-paced blockchain domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Coordinate and direct the work of project team members, including developers, designers, and external vendors.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on blockchain or cryptocurrency projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of the blockchain technology landscape, including smart contracts, dApps, and various protocols.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
