Overview In this role you drive high-impact business change programs within Markel’s UK Business Change team. You’ll partner with Executive Sponsors and senior leaders to deliver complex changes that support growth, efficiency, digital transformation, and international expansion. You will oversee governance, budgets, and cross-functional delivery, turning strategic ideas into tangible outcomes. This position offers autonomy to own programmes from inception to implementation in a collaborative, delivery-focused culture.

Responsibilities - Lead complex business change projects from initiation to implementation
- Chair project Working Groups and Steering Committees
- Build relationships with Executive Sponsors and senior partners
- Manage governance, RAID, and project controls
- Create delivery roadmaps and detailed plans
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Collaborate with BAs, SMEs, technology teams, architects, and vendors
- Drive decision-making and accountability across teams
- Ensure on-time, on-budget, quality delivery
Key requirements - Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience
- Proven track record delivering complex business change
- Experience in regulated environments
- Strong collaborator management and executive-level engagement
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
- Vendor and third-party management
- Governance, risk and issue management proficiency
- Experience running Steering Committees and governance forums
- Ability to influence decisions and drive outcomes
- Experience in insurance/financial services or regulated sectors is advantageous
