Overview As a Senior Ports & Marine Project Manager at AECOM, you drive the planning, design, and delivery of ports and related marine infrastructure. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget while upholding safety and codes. You’ll provide technical leadership across marine structures, dredging, and coastal works, coordinating with clients and regulators to ensure successful project outcomes. You will mentor engineers, contribute to proposals, and shape innovative solutions for coastal projects. Responsibilities - Lead multidisciplinary project teams in planning, design, and delivery of ports, terminals, waterfront, and marine infrastructure projects
- Oversee scope, schedule, and budget to align with client requirements and organizational objectives
- Provide technical leadership in marine infrastructure including container terminals, wharves, jetties, and coastal structures
- Coordinate engineering activities involving marine structures, geotechnical considerations, dredging, coastal processes, and port systems
- Ensure QA and compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to manage project execution
- Develop innovative engineering and design solutions for technical and operational challenges
- Prepare and review technical documentation such as reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff to promote technical excellence
- Support business development through technical input to proposals, client meetings, and industry engagement
Key requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or related discipline
- 8+ years of progressive experience in ports and marine infrastructure projects including design, delivery, and client management
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or eligibility to obtain within 12 months
