Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management on infrastructure commissions, acting as the primary client interface to meet time, cost, and quality targets. You’ll work within the Glasgow team on projects in transportation, utilities and highways, guiding governance, planning and cross-functional collaboration. You drive risk management, budgeting and reporting while ensuring health, safety and environmental considerations are addressed. This position offers a clear path toward senior project management through hands-on delivery and stakeholder leadership. You will join a global consultancy focused on delivering high-impact projects for major clients.
Responsibilities - Provide strategic input at project inception to align approaches with client objectives
- Define and maintain project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes and systems for project delivery
- Create and manage master project schedules and plans
- Develop resource plans and procure resources; lead cross-functional team
- Apply performance management techniques using KPIs to improve delivery
- Manage change control and budgeting, tracking forecast vs actuals
- Coordinate project information flow with client and stakeholders via meetings and reports
- Identify and mitigate project risks and implement actions
- Interface with client, consultants and other stakeholders across project stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment considerations
Key requirements - Experience on large infrastructure schemes (100m+ projects)
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Chartered/qualified status with ICE, APM, RICS, etc. preferred
- Proven ability to manage projects to time, cost and quality targets
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
