Overview In this role you will drive project delivery for high-profile defence initiatives in the Midlands, aligning programmes with client needs and context. You will work with an existing team to expand capability and ensure effective governance, planning, and controls. You will engage stakeholders across internal and external roles and develop schedules, cost data, and action plans to maintain strong performance. Responsibilities - Influence and support client project delivery through planning, monitoring and controlling
- Define and interrogate scope of work with project team
- Champion appropriate programme and project delivery strategies
- Define programmes and projects aligned with client needs
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders
- Develop and update detailed schedules, cost information, and remedial actions
- Ensure service delivery through technical, engineering, project controls, commercial and financial support
- Prepare business cases and obtain approvals
- Carry out gateway reviews
- Maintain change management processes and procedures
- Prepare regular status reports and dashboards
- Prepare and manage project plans
- Monitor and advise on project KPIs
Key requirements - Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Full UK Driving Licence
- MAPM (optional)
- Security Clearance (desirable)
- APMP Practitioner (optional)
- PRINCE2 Practitioner (optional)
- Project Management Certification (generic)
- Experience in defence or related sectors (preferred)
