Overview In this Senior Project Manager role, you will lead complex, regulated electricity transmission projects for a strategic client, ensuring delivery on time, cost, and quality. Responsibilities - Lead programmes, budgets, and risk management across the project lifecycle
- Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance and CDM adherence
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to meet project outcomes
- Support tendering and contracting strategies with procurement and commercial teams
- Oversee design stage reviews, risk and deliverability assessments
- Manage project delivery, commissioning, turnover, and post-completion requirements
- Chair progress and cost review meetings and maintain frequent site attendance
- Develop early-stage project concepts including optioneering and consenting
- Interface between project and internal/external teams to align on delivery
- Drive innovations and optimize strategies to achieve time, cost, and quality targets
- Mentor and coach team members to achieve potential
- Engage with land, consents, grantors, and community stakeholders
- Ensure thorough handover records and project closure activities
Key requirements - Experience in electrical infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of HS&E management systems and legislation
- Experience in environmental management and control
- Understanding of NEC contracts in project delivery
- Knowledge of risk management for schedule and cost
- Experience with procurement related to complex projects
- Degree with ≥5 years’ relevant regulated industry experience or HNC/HND with ≥7 years’ experience
- Member of a relevant professional institute
- Health, safety, environmental qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, SMSTS, IOSH)
