Overview In this role you lead delivery of complex flood risk projects for clients, guiding multidisciplinary teams to meet objectives. You will work across the Midlands with client teams, contributing to environmental and asset management programmes. You’ll mentor junior colleagues and help shape high-profile projects, focusing on practical solutions under NEC contracts. This is an opportunity to influence outcomes in flood risk and sustainability through collaborative leadership and rigorous project controls.
Responsibilities - Lead delivery of flood risk projects and programmes typically 2–15M from start to finish
- Manage contract administration and NEC PSC/ECC forms as a named Service Manager or Project Manager
- Provide leadership, teamwork and development for project teams in challenging or ambiguous environments
- Oversee financial management, cost control, and project controls to meet client objectives
- Coordinate health, safety, quality, and environmental management across projects
- Manage stakeholders and build trusted advisor relationships with clients and partner organisations
- Plan, communicate and organise multiple work streams, including senior client engagement
- Develop teams on large projects and promote a growth mindset
- Contribute to delivery of environmental outcomes and sustainability principles
Key requirements - Flood risk management and/or environmental project experience (2–15M)
- Experience with NEC contracts and procurement
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical, problem-solving and numerical abilities
- Ability to work under pressure, motivate teams and deliver solutions
- Effective planning and communication across multiple streams and senior clients
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure projects
