Overview In this role, you will drive the delivery of complex water projects as part of the Living Water Enterprise, coordinating with Northumbrian Water, suppliers and Enterprise Partners. You may lead one major project or a portfolio of smaller initiatives within a multi-disciplinary framework. The assignment supports a high-value upgrade programme through design and delivery excellence. Your work helps unlock strategic infrastructure, enhance resilience and efficiency across critical water assets.
Responsibilities - Manage multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA across the water sector.
- Deliver and monitor project programmes ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes.
- Develop trusted relationships with client stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Oversee lifecycle phases: design, procurement, assembly, commissioning and handover.
- Ensure supply chain compliance with the framework management plan.
- Foster a strong safety culture to achieve Zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents.
- Maintain rigorous commercial control and challenge on scope and delivery strategies.
- Provide regular, reliable reporting of project performance into relevant systems.
- Identify and mitigate key project and programme risks early.
- Provide leadership to site teams and support development of junior staff.
Key requirements - Experience managing multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA (water sector preferred)
- Proven track record delivering project programmes
- Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract (via experience/training)
- Ability to build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and within teams
- Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, document control systems, Primavera)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- SMSTS qualification and relevant CSCS card
- Leadership and development of site teams
- Oversee full project lifecycle from design to handover
