Overview In this role you will lead the end-to-end delivery of EHV cable projects from design through energisation. You will work within the UK T&D team to manage scope, cost, schedule and safety for 33kV–132kV schemes and substation works. You’ll interface with clients and suppliers, and act as CDM Designer or Principal Designer on developed projects. The position offers exposure to large-scale HV infrastructure and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on delivering compliant, cost-effective solutions. You will contribute to shaping high-impact electrical projects in a globally respected engineering firm.

Responsibilities - Develop EHV cable projects from initial requirements to compliant engineering solutions
- Project manage delivery to time, cost, safety and quality
- Interface with customers and internal/external resources to deliver projects
- Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for EHV projects
- Coordinate external service providers and manage commercial aspects
- Visit sites to assess requirements, monitor progress, perform safety audits, and resolve engineering issues
Key requirements - Experience managing medium-large scale EHV Cable projects (33kV–132kV) across full lifecycle
- Understanding of electrical distribution plant items (Switchgear, Power Transformers, Overhead lines)
- Knowledge of applicable engineering standards
- Strong H&S and CDM knowledge
- Ability to undertake the role of Designer and Principal Designer under CDM regulations
- Willingness to travel to client sites/offices in North East England and Yorkshire
