Overview In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale construction projects in Newcastle, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality outcomes. You will work with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to meet objectives, implement governance, and manage risks and finances. You will mentor junior project managers and help pursue new opportunities, contributing to Turner & Townsend’s impact on real estate and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end management of large-scale construction projects
- Develop and maintain project plans (schedules, budgets, resources)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet objectives
- Implement project governance, processes, and systems
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
- Monitor finances and manage change control
- Facilitate clear communication with team and stakeholders
- Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Mentor and guide junior project managers
Key requirements - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale construction projects
- PMP certification
- Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and industry best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client, contractor, and team relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience in a consultancy environment is preferred
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED is a plus
