Overview As a Senior Project Manager in our Real Estate team in Birmingham, you will lead large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality. You will shape project plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and implement governance and risk strategies to safeguard success. You will maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships while guiding junior project managers. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end management for large-scale construction projects
- Develop and maintain project plans (schedules, budgets, resources)
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to meet objectives
- Implement governance, processes, and systems across the lifecycle
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor finances and manage change control
- Facilitate clear communication through meetings and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with clients
- Mentor and guide junior project managers
Key requirements - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- PMP certification
- Proven track record delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong client/contractor relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience in a consultancy environment is preferred
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification is a plus
