Overview As Project Requirements Manager, you will shape how Defence and regulated programmes deliver outcomes by leading requirements capture, validation, and management. You’ll work with clients and senior leaders to align scope with strategic capabilities and ensure transparent documentation across projects. The role combines hands-on workshops, governance, and training to foster a proactive requirements culture. Responsibilities - Requirements capture and assessment to identify benefits and validate stakeholder needs
- Develop and implement robust, strategic requirements for future capabilities
- Maintain and governance of project/programme Requirements registers and documentation
- Produce fit-for-purpose requirements documents and support Infrastructure RIBA processes
- Engage with project managers, clients, and leadership to align validations
- Create and implement requirement management plans across multiple projects/programmes
- Lead requirements workshops and training to promote a proactive management culture
Key requirements - Industry experience in Defence or regulated sectors
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing requirements management across portfolios
- Experience with DOORs and Advanced Excel
- Project management proficiency is advantageous
- Benefits mapping understanding is useful
- Familiarity with Defence, Rail, Infrastructure, or Digital/AI project lifecycles (RIBA/GRIP) is desirable
- Relevant qualifications such as APM Risk Management or IoRM (desirable)
