Overview In this NEC-focused Project Manager role, you will lead end-to-end project delivery within Turner & Townsend’s Birmingham Real Estate team. You’ll be the primary client interface, steering time, cost and quality to meet objectives. You will oversee commissions of varying scale, advise on strategic approaches, and establish governance and performance controls. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project management commissions and ensure delivery to time, cost and quality targets
- Serve as primary client interface and align project outcomes with client objectives
- Manage projects of varying scale (up to £40m typically; larger when advisory)
- Provide strategic advice at project conception and define success criteria (time, cost, technical, performance)
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment considerations
- Establish project governance, processes and systems for the project
- Produce detailed project plans and manage procurement of resources
- Lead cross-functional project team and coordinate with consultants
- Monitor performance using KPIs and implement changes to improve project performance
- Oversee change control, project finances and reporting
- Coordinate information flow between team and client via meetings and communications
- Produce formal progress and other project reports
- Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages
Key requirements - Degree qualified in relevant discipline
- Proven experience managing construction/refurbishment projects, ideally in a consultancy environment
- Good working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)
