Overview As a Project Manager in our Midlands team, you lead end-to-end project commissions for large or complex infrastructure initiatives. You act as the main client interface, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You’ll guide governance, risk, and resource planning across cross-functional teams on prestigious transport, highways, and utilities projects. Responsibilities - Provide strategic project initiation guidance and select optimal delivery approaches
- Define and maintain project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes and systems for project delivery
- Create and manage master project plans and activity schedules
- Develop and implement resource plans and procure resources
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate stakeholders
- Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to improve delivery
- Manage change control, budgets and cost forecasting
- Oversee project information flow with the client through meetings and reports
- Interface with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders across all stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan and manage Quality, Safety, Health and Environment aspects
Key requirements - NEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred)
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc. (preferred)
- Degree qualification in a construction-related subject (preferred)
- Experience with managing projects in the £10m–£25m range (or larger when advisory work is involved)
- Strong client-facing and leadership capabilities
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to budget, and to required quality
