Overview In this role you will lead end-to-end project management commissions for a growing Yorkshire team, delivering large or complex infrastructure projects. You will be the main day-to-day client interface, ensuring projects meet time, cost and quality targets while upholding safety and environmental considerations. You will steward governance, schedules, budgets and cross-functional collaboration to realise client objectives. Responsibilities - Strategic advisory at project inception to shape delivery approaches
- Define and maintain project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes and systems for the project
- Prepare and maintain master project plan and activity schedules
- Lead development of the project in line with plans and targets
- Develop resource plans and procure resources
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional project team
- Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to drive improvements
- Manage change control processes
- Develop and monitor budgets; compare forecast vs actual costs
- Facilitate regular client meetings and communications; manage information flow
- Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks
- Prepare formal progress reports
- Interface with client, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan for and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues
Key requirements - Experience in project management for infrastructure or similar sectors
- Ability to interface with clients and manage stakeholders
- Budgeting, scheduling, governance and risk management experience
- experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Knowledge of HSE considerations and quality management
- Business development and cross-selling awareness (desirable)
