Overview As Senior Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor, you will lead cost planning, forecasting, and commercial control on complex construction projects. You will work within the Construction Projects Division to protect profitability and deliver value for clients, collaborating with project managers, architects and other stakeholders. You will drive cost optimization through procurement, value engineering, and robust cost systems. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and budgets for complex construction projects
- Perform cost analyses and provide forecasts across project lifecycles
- Prepare and analyze bills of quantities, tender documents, and contracts
- Manage procurement, vendor selection and contract negotiation
- Conduct value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality
- Monitor and report project financial performance, flagging risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders for cost-efficient delivery
- Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters
- Implement and maintain robust cost control systems and procedures
- Mentor junior team members and support department growth
Key requirements - Degree qualified and MRICS qualification (or working towards)
