About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee significant construction and infrastructure projects in
Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK . This is a critical role that requires a robust understanding of the construction lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and handover. You will be responsible for managing project scope, budgets, timelines, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained throughout all phases. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and progress monitoring to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure effective communication channels are maintained among all project participants.
- Manage procurement processes and contract administration.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and familiarity with construction management platforms.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as PMP or MCIOB are advantageous.
