About the Role
Our client, a prominent national retailer with ambitious expansion plans, is seeking a dynamic Commercial Project Manager to join their team. This role will focus on overseeing the successful execution of new store openings and refurbishments across various locations. While the role is primarily remote, there will be requirements for travel to project sites, including **Plymouth, Devon, UK**, and other regions. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for retail store openings and refurbishments.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, marketing, finance) and external stakeholders (contractors, designers, suppliers).
- Oversee site readiness, construction progress, and fit-out activities.
- Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Manage supplier contracts and performance.
- Conduct site visits for project oversight and quality assurance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and brand guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, preferably within the **retail sector** or property development.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, often with travel required.
- Strong understanding of construction or fit-out project management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
