Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of financial services transformation projects, from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring proactive mitigation.
- Coordinate with various departments, including IT, compliance, legal, and business operations.
- Ensure projects adhere to strict regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II).
- Facilitate communication and provide regular status updates to project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the implementation of new financial technologies and systems.
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
- Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned for future initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the financial services industry, with a focus on transformation projects.
- Demonstrable success in managing projects related to regulatory compliance, process improvement, or technology implementation in banking.
- Strong understanding of financial products, services, and operational workflows.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage complex, challenging projects.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be able to commit to full-time work from our client's Oxford office.
