About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing technology consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead critical digital transformation initiatives. This is a fully remote, permanent position, offering the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in guiding cross-functional teams, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects that align with our client's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of major digital transformation projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture in a remote setting.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project stakeholders, including executive leadership, technical teams, and business units.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenditures and ensuring delivery within financial constraints.
- Conduct regular project reviews and status meetings, providing detailed reports on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of third-party components.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale projects, particularly in digital transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects within a remote or distributed team environment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
- Excellent understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to think strategically and analytically, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
