About the Role
Our client, a dynamic software development company based in **Coventry**, is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of innovative software solutions. This hybrid role offers a balanced approach to work, combining collaborative in-office sessions with the flexibility of remote work. You will be responsible for guiding agile teams, ensuring efficient sprint cycles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position is crucial for streamlining development processes and ensuring our client meets its product roadmap objectives. You'll work closely with product owners, developers, and QA teams to bring cutting-edge products to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor agile teams on Scrum, Kanban, and other relevant agile practices.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and manageable.
- Track project progress, identify and remove impediments, and manage risks and dependencies.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software releases according to the product roadmap.
- Promote a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of agile processes within the organization.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) is highly preferred.
- Relevant Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
