About the Role
Our client, a leading consultancy firm in the energy sector, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead complex capital projects within their Aberdeen operations. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of major capital projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular project reviews, reporting progress and identifying potential issues to senior management.
- Implement robust risk management and mitigation plans to safeguard project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Manage third-party contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance meets contractual obligations.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale capital projects, preferably within the energy or related industries.
- A strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate challenging project environments.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and prepared to travel as required for site visits and client meetings in and around **Aberdeen, Scotland, UK**.
