About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Agile Project Manager to oversee software delivery initiatives. This role operates on a hybrid model, blending collaboration in our Sheffield office with the flexibility of remote work. You will be responsible for guiding software development teams through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of new features and products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, a strong technical background, and exceptional leadership and communication skills. You will be instrumental in fostering an agile culture, optimizing team performance, and managing stakeholder expectations. This role is crucial for driving efficiency and innovation in our client's software development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Agile software development projects from inception to deployment.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint plans in collaboration with product owners and development teams.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, impediments, and dependencies.
- Track project progress, performance metrics, and team velocity, providing regular status reports.
- Coach and mentor development teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery and adherence to development standards.
- Manage project scope, changes, and resource allocation effectively.
- Promote a collaborative and productive team environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master, with a strong focus on software delivery.
- Proven experience managing multiple software development projects concurrently using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and remove impediments for development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a hybrid team environment is preferred.
- Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, CSPO, PMP-ACP) are highly desirable.
