About the Role
Our client, a major developer in the renewable **Energy** sector, is seeking an experienced **Project Manager** to lead the development of offshore wind projects. Based in or near **Norwich, Norfolk, UK**, this role requires a strategic and results-driven individual to manage projects from inception through to financial close and construction. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of complex offshore wind farms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the offshore wind market. This is a high-impact role contributing significantly to the UK's renewable **Energy** targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project management of offshore wind development projects.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and coordinate internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local communities, and investors.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee the tendering and procurement processes for project components and services.
- Report on project progress, performance, and key issues to senior management and the board.
- Drive project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional qualification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the offshore wind industry or a closely related renewable **Energy** sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large capital projects (£100M+) from development through to financial close.
- Strong understanding of offshore wind technology, project lifecycles, and associated risks.
- Proven ability to manage complex contracts and supply chains.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Must have the right to work in the **UK**.
