About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking technology solutions provider, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Agile Project Manager to lead critical projects from inception to successful delivery. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in driving innovation, fostering collaboration among distributed teams, and ensuring the timely and budget-conscious completion of complex projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets for multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams using agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to achieve project goals.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication channels are maintained across all project stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, build strong relationships, and ensure their active involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement within the project team and across the wider organization by implementing best practices and lessons learned.
- Oversee project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to organizational standards.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT or software development projects using agile methodologies (minimum 5 years of experience).
- Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Asana).
- Experience in leading remote or distributed teams and managing projects in a fully remote setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficiency in risk management, change management, and stakeholder management.
- Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, CSM, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
