About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding technology firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Agile Project Manager to spearhead significant digital transformation initiatives from their **Coventry, West Midlands, UK** hub. This role is crucial for guiding the successful implementation of agile methodologies across multiple product development teams, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. The Lead Agile Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects using agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor and coach project teams on agile principles and best practices.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and impediments.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure alignment and deliver value.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the project management function.
- Track project progress and provide regular, clear reports to senior management.
- Drive adoption and adherence to agile best practices across the organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a significant focus on agile methodologies.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager for at least 4 years.
- Strong understanding of agile principles, values, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience in managing distributed teams and working in a remote-first environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Agilist, or PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other agile project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
